Solar Fortun is a force to be reckoned with in Mexico’s most exciting wine region- the Valle de Guadalupe. This boutique winery is 17 years old, owned by Santiago’s family and run by he and his brother- a culmination of a lifetime of family effort and love for wine. Having 12 years winemaking under his belt (and his viticulture degree from UC Davis), the wines Santiago produces are unique, well-made and have set a very high bar to be met by the other wineries in the Valle. Socalo’s Executive Chef Enrique Soltero and his culinary team have created some delicious & unique food pairings for the wines which will be a treat for the taste buds. Tonight, we bring the Valle to you: Santiago (pictured above) will join us to share his expertise and passion as we enjoy four of his outstanding wines including a lovely Petit Verdot to finish the evening.
