Ramey Wine Cellar’s history goes back 25 years but prior to that, founder David Ramey put his efforts into creating other outstanding wine/wineries including Matanzas Creek, Chalk Hill, Dominus Estate and Rudd Estate.  The key to his family winery’s success can be summed up in one word: Balance.  They are dedicated to creating high quality, hand-crafted wines with balance and richness from the area’s finest vineyards.  The vineyards are selected for their ability to sustainably produce the highest quality fruit, the soil must be right for the climate, which in turn must be right for the terrain and the terrain must be right for the varietal.  The resulting wines continue to be highly praised by colleagues, consumers and wine media.   We’ll enjoy a 3-course meal pairing the gourmet Indian cuisine of owner/chef Avinash Kapoor with 4 outstanding Ramey wines including two 100 pointers!  GWG’s Peter Kerr will discuss Ramey’s history & explore the wine & food pairings.  All the wines will also be available for ordering at great prices.  Join us under the stars (dress warmly) in Akbar’s new outdoor patio section for a rare opportunity to enjoy these highly rated & sought after wines.
