Andy and Jesse Katz, father and son, world famous photographer and renowned Sonoma winemaker- each doing his own thing, but working together to bring a happy ending we can all enjoy, one bottle at a time. The aperture of a camera lens adjusts the amount of light a photographer has to work with. Winemaker Jesse (above) says he is focused on shedding light on what Bordeaux varieties in the cooler pockets of Sonoma County are capable of- that is, letting the terroir speak loud and clear. According to Decanter Magazine, “Aperture wines are small batch (and sell out quickly), but they are worth searching out, combining as they do the best of the Old and New World, delivering a powerful punch but well sculpted with natural balance…” With this as a background, we bring you an exceptional opportunity to taste 4 of these outstanding wines that are virtually unavailable except at the winery. But, we’ll save you a trip to Sonoma. Akbar’s Owner/Chef Avinash Kapoor has created a delicious menu of gourmet Indian cuisine that will make these wines shine (but not too much light, please). GWG’s Peter Kerr will discuss Aperture’s history & explore the wine & food pairings. All the wines will also be available for ordering at great prices. Looking for a unique Mother’s Day, Father’s Day or college graduation gift for that special wine-loving someone in your life? Look no futher! And, you can join them to enjoy their gift with them. Space is very limited (22 guests) so reserve early!
