Andy Friedlander and Janis Akuna created Andis Wines just over a decade ago, but the vineyards and vines they own go back a long way- in some cases over 100 years! Their philosophy is simple- seek out the best vineyards in the Sierra Foothills to craft wines with balance, character, complexity and varietal correctness. Add to that a powerful focus on sustainability and a winemaking team that combines old and new world talent and it is no surprise that this boutique winery is garnering excellent scores from top wine critics. Tonight, we will have an opportunity to taste 4 of these lovely, approachable wines, including an amazing Zinfandel made from 45+ year old estate vines and a high-scoring 2018 Petite Sirah. Each wine will be paired with mouth-watering cuisine created by Orto’s culinary team. Come, join us and let us introduce you to a winery that deserves your attention. We will be dining al fresco (outside, under the stars) in Orto’s lovely piazza so dress warmly!
