Kerr\, Gourmet Wine Getaways’ Wine Expert\nSpecial Guest: Katja Newman\, CEO/Farmer’s daughter \nThursday\, June 12\, 2025 at 7:00 PM \n$89 pp plus tax and gratuity \nCabernet vines were planted by Katja’s mother and father in this beautiful Alexander Valley acreage (pictured above) nearly 30 years ago. They sold all their grapes to a select few Sonoma-based wineries for the next 20 years. Finally\, in 2018\, they created their own label and La Cienega Vineyard was born. They don’t make a lot of wine but everything they make is something to be proud of. Tonight\, we will have the opportunity to enjoy four of their great wines\, including two wines from their 2018 premier vintage\, paired with the delicious Italian cuisine of Fritto Misto. Winery owner Katja Newman will join Peter to discuss the Sonoma wine region\, the wines and the wine/food pairings. All the wines will be available for purchase at very attractive prices should you desire to add them to your collection.  Most of these wines had less than 200 cases produced (and some as little as 50 cases)\,  so they are definitely not widely available.
