SUMMARY:Silver Oak Winery Wine Tasting Dinner at Akbar\, Marina del Rey
DESCRIPTION:Two friends shook hands on an idea that started in a dairy barn in Oakville\, CA in 1972. That idea has endured the test of time\, producing outstanding\, highly sought after wines for over 50 years. Two sons of original co-owner Ray Duncan took the reins in 2001 and never skipped a beat. Cabernet Sauvignon was their original\, exclusive interest and remains the focal point of what and who they are even though they have branched out a bit. Their Cabs are cellared in 100% American oak from their own cooperage in Missouri to add to their uniqueness. Silver Oak’s mantra says it best\, “Some bottles mark a moment- our help make one!”\nTonight\, we’ll have the pleasure of enjoying four Silver Oak wines paired with the gourmet cuisine of Owner/Chef Avinash Kapoor. We’ll finish the evening with a double pairing of their excellent Cabs but don’t sell the first two pairings short because they will be top-shelf as well (did someone say PNO?!).
