The entire experience will be enhanced by tasting a wonderful selection of wines from one of Santa Barbara County’s long-time favorites\, Zaca Mesa Winery.  A winery representative will join Gourmet Wine Getaways’ Peter Kerr to discuss these unique wines\, this amazing wine region and answer any wine-related questions you might have. Should you want to stock your cellar\, all these wines will be available for order at very special day-of-event prices. \nAnd\, as at all Gourmet Wine Getaways’ events\, where there’s wine\, there’s special food that complements and enhances the experience. DESCRIPTION:Daou Family Estates was founded in 1998 by brothers Georges and Daniel Daou- the culmination of their life-long dream. Daniel had been a “garagiste” in San Diego for many years while informally studying winemaking\, when an amazing property in Paso Robles became available. The rest\, as they say\, is history. The wine critics and wine-drinking world fell in love with Daou almost immediately and the honeymoon still goes on today. Daou Mountain’s terroir (pictured above) has enabled the brothers to become the Central Coast’s ambassadors of Bordeaux varietals.
