Kerr\, Gourmet Wine Getaways \nSaturday\, October 3\, 2026; 2-4 PM\n$60 per person\, plus tax and gratuity \nWine dinners are great but we decided to offer a different option for your consideration. Rather than make you fight weeknight traffic\, let’s gather on a lovely\, fall Saturday afternoon for a couple of hours. And\, unlike the wine dinners with formal wine/food pairings\, we’ll give you the option to taste (and retaste) 4 lovely wines from Italy as we enjoy a variety of Cuban-inspired appetizers from Owner/Chef Jason (pictured above)and his culinary team. \nNo need to worry about being late and missing a course-this will be a no stress event. Arrive at 2pm\, 2:15 or whenever you can- all the wines and appetizers will be available throughout the afternoon. Gourmet Wine Getaways’ wine expert Peter Kerr will be on-hand to discuss the wines\, talk about wine/food pairing and learn from you what you thought the best “unofficial pairings” were! \nAll the wines will be available for purchase at very attractive prices should you desire to add them to your collection. Attendance is limited so book early to ensure your spaces. DESCRIPTION:Two friends shook hands on an idea that started in a dairy barn in Oakville\, CA in 1972. That idea has endured the test of time\, producing outstanding\, highly sought after wines for over 50 years. Two sons of original co-owner Ray Duncan took the reins in 2001 and never skipped a beat. Cabernet Sauvignon was their original\, exclusive interest and remains the focal point of what and who they are even though they have branched out a bit. Their Cabs are cellared in 100% American oak from their own cooperage in Missouri to add to their uniqueness. Silver Oak’s mantra says it best\, “Some bottles mark a moment- our help make one!”\nTonight\, we’ll have the pleasure of enjoying four Silver Oak wines paired with the gourmet cuisine of Owner/Chef Avinash Kapoor. We’ll finish the evening with a double pairing of their excellent Cabs but don’t sell the first two pairings short because they will be top-shelf as well (did someone say PNO?!).
