Kerr\, Gourmet Wine Getaways’ Wine Consultant\nSpecial Guest: Marcus Kempken\, Mosaic Wines \nThursday\, July 27\, 2023 at 7:00 PM\n$99 per person\, plus tax and gratuity \n Saxon Brown was created by grower/winemaker Jeff Gaffner in 1997.  Jeff prides himself on many things including being a 3rd generation Sonoma farmer\, a consultant winemaker to many of the region’s outstanding artisan wineries and for the past 25+ years\, the creator/winemaker of Saxon Brown’s small\, single-vineyard bottlings.  The Wine Spectator raves about his winemaking talents (“deft”) and the Wall St. Journal said “they love his vineyard voice”. Tonight’s wine selections will feature a nicely aged Grenache\, Chardonnay and Zin plus an ’18 Gap’s Crown Vineyard PNO.  The wines will be paired with a delicious gourmet menu created by Orto’s owner Andrea Inio & his culinary team.  All of the featured wines will be available for ordering at very attractive prices (many of them are no longer available on the retail market).  Joining Peter to discuss the winery & wines will be Marcus Kempken\, a thoroughly knowledgeable local Saxon Brown wine expert and great friend of GWG.  We will be moving inside the friendly confines of Orto’s original space so no need to worry if the June gloom continues into July.  Reserve early as we only have space for 40 guests.
