Dragonette Cellars‘ wines impress at Akbar Marina del Rey wine dinner

Winemaker Brandon Sparks-Gillis was in the house and on a roll.  His 4 wines  were excellent and paired extremely well with Chef Avi’s gourmet Indian cuisine.  

Best Wine

Most popular wine of the evening was the 2017 Pinot Noir, Duvarita Vineyard.  This lovely wine is just a baby but was food-friendly and great in structure.  Many folks ordered some for their cellars.

Wine and Food Pairing highlights

The best pairing of the night was the 2018 Dragonette Happy Canyon Sauvignon Blanc paired with Scallops Balchoa.  Flavors, textures and taste told you this pairing was exquisite and many guests commented on the match. Overall, Chef Avi did a fine job pairing these food-friendly wines with his gourmet Indian cuisine.
