Area 5.1 Winery “secrets” declassified

Area 5.1 Winery owner Martin Brown and his wine making team threw away the old wine-blending book to make some creative blends with grapes from different regions and countries in the same bottleGuests were amazed and amused and loved them all.

Best Wine

The 2014  Area 5.1 Collusion, a great Rhone blend, was a real crowd-pleaser and stood 1/2 step above the other great wines.

This blend and all the featured Area 5.1  wines were available for ordering at special discounted prices.

Wine and Food Pairing highlights

The pairing that got everyone’s attention was the very first of the evening.  The 2015 Area 5.1 Eqinox (Vermentino/Albarino/Loureiro), a lovely white blend, was perfectly paired with a large butterflied shrimp on a bed of wild arugula and endive.

“Well Done!” to Tivoli’s culinary team for a menu full of excellent flavors and “spot-on” wine and food pairings.
